When I am not busy working I am occupied by my love of hiking, camping, floating the river, snowboarding, surfing & exploring! I love being social, lets have a drink, meet for a coffee, go on a sushi date, you name it and I'll be there. I enjoy meeting new people and building new relationships. If you want to know anything else about me just ask, I'm not shy!

I'm Amber Cain and I am a 30 year old self taught wedding & lifestyle photographer in Columbia Falls, Mt. I am originally from North Dakota but thankfully moved to Montana when I was 8. I have three beautiful daughters and a loving husband who takes such good care of us. I consider myself blessed to have such a happy, healthy family. I love living in Montana, I truly enjoy everything this beautiful state has to offer.

Theres not a whole lot that I wont do, from hiking up crazy mountains, to jumping in Glaciers, to 4-wheeling through some mud, lets just say, I'm not afraid to live life on the edge.

Shopping is my weakness. Leave me at target for a few hours and you can expect a car full of junk I probably don't need. Im a little obsessed with sushi. I love my moscow mules, dinner dates and girl trips!

how i became a photog

I would have to say the peak of my career was with my disposable film camera when I was about 5....jokes. But for real...Ever since I was little, I was always the one taking pictures. No matter where I was or who I was with, you can guarantee I always had some type of camera on me. When I was a senior in high school, my dad had a nice DSLR camera that I would often borrow to take photos of friends. Shortly after high school, I did senior photos for a few friends left in high school. It was at that moment that I realized I had a true passion for photography. I initially started my college years with hopes to be a  physical therapist all while shooting friends and family on the side. When my small side photography gig started booming, I had to make a very big life decision....take the safe route and pursue a career that I knew I would be good at but maybe wouldn't be in love with, or ditch college and continue my photography business....can you guess what I decided on?  These past 8/9-ish years of photographing have taken me to places I NEVER expected I would get to. I went from doing $50 sessions and shooting weddings for practice, to where I am at now. I wouldn't trade this career for anything. Not only does it support my family, but It is something that I absolutely love and am beyond passionate about. My preach to anyone starting out in the adult world is follow your heart. It sounds so cliche but its so true. If you love something and you know thats what makes you happy, chase after it. You will not regret it I promise!

Montana is amazing, don't get me wrong. But I cant help but feel like there is so much more of the world out there that I haven't discovered. SO many different landmarks, cultures, history that I have no idea about. I have always had a love for traveling, but it wasn't until I started doing it more that I became addicted! It's like getting a tattoo, once you get one, you want a million more! I have made it a goal to travel AT LEAST two times a year. Below are the upcoming places I will be traveling!
